The WIB medical patient washing system was designed to minimize biological risk for healthcare professionals while maintaining a high level of hygiene for bedridden patients, ensuring both comfort and performance.
The WIB medical unit is equipped with computerized operation management.
To ensure maximum protection against bacteriological contamination, it features an automatic washing cycle that disinfects the entire fluid path — from the suction handpiece to the shower dispenser — using an appropriate disinfectant solution.
Intended Use:
The “Wash In Bed” or WIB device is an active medical device designed for washing and drying bedridden patients. It aims to reduce the risk of patient falls and injuries during showering, as well as the risk of contamination and infectious diseases associated with the use of wet wipes.
The device’s intended use includes heating the water collected in the cleaning tank up to 40°C, then delivering it through a portable shower head.
At the same time, the device generates suction (up to 8 l/min) to reabsorb and safely store the used washing water, taking into account the nature of the substances and the method of collection relative to the patient, keeping them stored until proper disposal.
At the end of the dust tank emptying process, the device can automatically perform a disinfection cycle.
The device is equipped with wheels for easy transport.
The intended user is a healthcare professional (not a layperson) who does not require special training — reading the manual is sufficient.
